Where does Cicero's information come from?
From the public records of each legislature and council: the House of Commons and LEGISinfo, the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, the Assemblée nationale du Québec, and city council records for Toronto and Montréal. Representatives are matched using Open North's Represent service.
Are the summaries accurate?
They're written with the help of AI from the official text, and they can make mistakes. Every bill and debate links to the official record. If a summary looks wrong, email us the bill or sitting and we'll take a look.
Why does Cicero ask for my postal code?
To find your MP, MPP or MNA, and city councillor. It's optional, and Cicero never uses your device's location. See the Privacy Policy.
My representative is wrong or missing.
Check the postal code in your profile first. Riding boundaries changed for the 2025 federal election, so an old riding may no longer apply. If it's still wrong, email us your postal code area (the first three characters) and the representative you expected.
How do I change or stop notifications?
In the app, go to Profile → Notifications and choose instant, daily, weekly or off, and which kinds of updates you want. You can also turn off Cicero's notifications in your iPhone's Settings.
Are community petitions sent to the government?
Community petitions are started by Cicero users. They're not official petitions to any legislature. When one reaches its goal, Cicero sends it to the representative it's addressed to. For an official petition to the House of Commons, use the petitions tab to find and sign ones on ourcommons.ca.
How do I report a petition?
Open the petition and use the report option. We review every report. For anything urgent, email us as well.
Is Cicero affiliated with a party or government?
No. Cicero is independent and non-partisan.
IIDelete your account
Email support@appcicero.ca with the subject “Delete my Cicero account”, from the email address you signed in with. If you used Sign in with Apple's “Hide My Email”, tell us that and we'll help you confirm the account. We'll delete it within 30 days and confirm by email. What gets deleted.
